Martyna Marciniak

Senior Visual and Spatial Researcher, Digital Investigations Lab

Martyna is a spatial researcher and a 3D designer. In the past she worked as an architectural visualiser,  exhibition designer and a researcher at Forensic Architecture. She taught Architectural Design at University of Westminster and University of Greenwich. 

As an independent consultant she worked with media organisations such as CNN, Consulted for Amnesty International and worked with independent research and activist groups in Poland and France.

 

Her ongoing research interest has been tracking the spatial connections between environmental violence and human rights violations in the Bialowieza Forest in Eastern Poland.  

 

She is particularly interested in testing the limits of conventional 3D digital tools in the investigative context, and in developing new spatial mediums and formats to communicate complex stories most effectively.
